how to mod podge

hey! i've been feeling really crafty lately...so i have a few more posts about crafti-ness. this is partly because we have a 4 day weekend. FOUR DAY WEEKEND, PEOPLE. we never get those.

one. place all your words on the journal [or paper] in the desired locations
two. take them all off [i like to take a picture of it first so i know where everything went] and paint the modge podge on the journal..it will be milky white, but just ignore it (:
three. place the words in the order you had them in and paint over those words [careful not to paint to hard, because sometimes the smaller words/pictures come off easily.]
four. finished product!!

i actually added a "my story" to the back to make it mine [haha, that was kinda funny. *no laugter* ...actually, no it wasn't. never mind.]

if you do this project [or any other mod podge project], email me photos and i will look at it!

i use hairdryers for evil things.

actually, it wasn't that evil. i only melted about 20 crayons TO THEIR DEATH.

here's how they died passed on...

i got this idea from pinterest, and i have wanted to do this for so long...but i've never had the time! i've always got distracted by internet other things, so today was the perfect day :). this is going up in my room for sure. all i did was find some crayons, and peeled off the wrappings, then hot-glue-gunned [if that's a word...] them to a canvas. since we had just bought a new hair dryer, i used that and held it above the crayons for a while until they started to melt. then it turned into a beautiful work of art!

-if you make this, send me pics at theblogofsimplybeautiful@gmail.com and i will put together a post...and show off your craftiness!

love.

nah, this isn't gonna be one of those sappy posts about some dude with the hair.

nah, this isn't gonna be about icecream or milkshakes (yeah, i'm drooling, so what?)

nah, this isn't gonna be about anything related to red hearts with no cracks

yes, this is going to be about HEADBANDS. ahhhhh, the love.

i ♥ headbands. especially with flowers. made out of fabric.

i have a wonderful blogger in mind right now, who posts tutorials for all y'all non-crafty-istic people, and they are amazingly easy.

megan's letters to rome.
she makes stuff. like headbands, doily cards, and anything else you can think of. but what she does instead of selling them, she does tutorials so other people can make them easily. and that has been my occupation for the past two hours. the headbands are incredibly easy. so i would like all of you to take a quick little trip over to meg's blog and tell her what a great job she does in the crafting area. here's another link in case you missed the first one. oh, and this one's the link to the actual flowers.
megan's letters to rome.

thanks guys!

(oh and ps. if you feel like following anyone today, she is the lady to follow. and right now she is at an odd number, so you could make it even, if you feel like it, you know?)

thanks you guys!
