Why do I blog? Do I blog for followers, for publicity? Do I blog because I love it, or because I think other people will like me more because of it? Blogging is such a hard talent to figure out. I have to admit, sometimes I do put posts out for the sheer joy of a comment, a new follower, or a link. I blog because I love to write, not only on paper with ink.
I blog because I am an artist. The blank post is my canvas, and the keys are my brushes. I paint with words, add color with pictures. I blog to share my paintings, because without this blog they would go to waste. My paintings would not be shared, criticized, made better. I may not be an artist who paints (hey, I try) with watercolors or pastels, but I paint with words and photographs.
I blog because I am a writer. I write to tell a story, to tell my thoughts in a matter of sentences. I blog to string all the words jumbling around in my head together, to clear my mind of the day that has happened. Without writing, i wouldn't be able to form a coherent sentence.
I blog because I love it. I love to write, photograph, and most of all, blog.
This is why I blog.
