5 ways to make your room fantabulous

1 Add a white board and decorate it. I put to do, ideas, homework to be finished, and calendar on mine. I'm the kind of person who loves lists. And they work! They make you feel more organized, and they're fun to decorate each week.

2 Do crafts! This helps people (and you) to remember that you're crafty. Here's tutorials for some of the things on here...the puffball, the dixie cup lights, and the paint chip mobile. I just hotgluegunned the driftwood to the canvas.

3 Have a place to put your inspiration of the week (although I really need to update mine), a place that you can look if you're bored or out of inspiration.

4 Have something on your door to show it's your room. You wouldn't want someone to walk into your brother's room expecting yours! #awk

5 Have a desk space that you can do homework on, paint nails on, or just store your happy lappy (read: laptop). I reccommend putting a piece of plastic on the surface, and then putting pictures or other things under it. I cut up pictures from magazines, pinned them on the bulletin board, and used the scraps for the desk display (weird...I know.)

right now

Currently: Excited about school! It's a new school, and with +5 more classes, it'll be a lot more challenging. But I'm excited. Summer has been great, with sleeping in & NO HOMEWORK, and I'm ready to start something new!

Currently: Loving Fred Meyer's grand-re-opening sale! They had free donuts this morning and $0.89 starbucks coffee #imsothere. Aaaand they had sales EVERYWHERE. So we went twice (two free re-usable bags)

Currently: Listening to all of Florence + the Machine's music. I downloaded #everysingleoneoftheirsongs onto my iPod and they're non-stop shuffling. (erryday i'm shufflin)

Currently: Obsessing over strawberries + whipped cream. 50/50 healthy snack, but they're just SO DANG ADDICTIVE. kelsey+strawberries forever

Currently: Trying furiously to memorize my locker combo...I've never had a locker and I'm so psyched to have one! 

P.S. Today's the last day of August. WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT? I wish I was JKing. But I'm not. Moving on...

we are the drama queens

supposed to be sung to the tune of "we are the champions..."

so, this weekend all the twelve rehersals i did finally paid off...we had two shows at our church, and we rocked. you should have come. [uh, stalker??] i was a bird girl and so was my friend alex. i loved it! here's some pics that my dad shot from the audience. most of them make me look really attractive [sarcasm, if you didn't catch that :)]

eleven things.

one//i am such a nerd. i'm the kind of nerd that will point out a typo in anything, even in the middle of class. i'm the kind of nerd who will get so excited when i find the sentence in a book that says the title. i'll say "ooooohhhh! so that's why they picked that title!!"

two//i love country music. i'm constantly belting out in the car. sometimes i scare people. ha.

three//i am always making myself laugh, not others. i say a joke, and i'm the only one laughing. it's just the norm, people.

four//when american idol's on, i will always either stand up with a standing ovation even though they can't hear or see me on the tv, or i will boo quite loudly. what can i say? i'm so social i will talk to the tv in my spare time!

five//i will say babe about 6 times throughout the day. when mom asks me to get my lunch, i'll say, "sure babe." [nothing creepy implied(:] when i see the cat, i'll say, "oh hey babe. how's underneath the bed lookin this mornin?"

six//i'll make jokes while i'm studying. not just your average "why'd the chicken cross the road" jokes [altho i'm probably the only one who still says that...and laughs...], it's like when i'm studying for a test on hormones in the endocrine system, i'll say, "hormones are made in organs and then they are sent away through the blood stream..." but i'll add my own joke to it. "hormones are made in oregon and then they salem [like "sail 'em] away through the blood stream."

seven//i have cravings for cheezits on a regular basis.

eight//i will take about 3 hours on a bored and rainy saturday to totally clean my room, spotless, and the next day, bam. hurricanes and tornadoes suddenly appear on the room forecast.

nine//i will paint my nails, love them for a few days, pick off the nailpolish, and then wish i had it back on. i'm a lover, gotta tell ya.

ten//my hair style changes about 4 times on an average school day.

eleven//i betcha didn't know this, but i am allergic to peanuts. i found out in 5th grade when i had to leave school early everyday because of really bad stomach aches, and then i finally went into the doctor for allergy testing. when i found out i was allergic to peanuts, i was so sad. i had eaten peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches my entire life and didn't want to give those up. but now i've found sunbutter, which is just like peanut butter [looks and tastes the same] adn as i said earlier, i'm a lover, so i was hooked.

wearing//pajamas, duh! it's mid-winter break and i sleep in, eat breakfast, and blog. the end.

feeling//happy. no school!

weather//it's super windy. i was walking to the car yesterday and almost fell over! um, i just made myself sound super old...awkward..

wanting//some sun! all we've had is rain...bleh.

a whole post devoted to jello...

...and other things, but really, jello is the most important. although i think macaroni and cheese is a close second.

^^ this made me laugh :)

this week [tuesday to saturday] our parents were gone for a little "mini vacation" in Denver, so our nana [mom's mom] came to our house to take care of us. the bad thing was, the first night that she was here, i woke up the next morning with a terrible sore throat. I went to school that day, because it wasn't that bad. I came home with a headache, sore throat, and a stuffy nose. I stayed home the next day and today. I'm feeling much better now, tho :) I've had a lot of jello. Sometimes i like being sick just for that.

i'm going to go to the store and raise a macaroni box above my head and scream to the world that i love macaroni now.
