1.) when did you give your life to Christ, and who inspired you to be Christian?

well, i rededicated my life to Christ when I was just about 11-12 years old. there are so many people who have inspired me,

but i think, because i love music so much, God decided to use my favorite artist (musicians) and their songs to bring me closer to Him.

one song in particular is Holy Spirit Have Your Way by Leeland. and that one night, 1 year ago, i gave my heart to Jesus,

while singing along to that song. :)

2.) what is your favorite thing about being a "magazine writer?"

hmm, i think being able to use some of the talents God has given me to bring other girls my age to Christ.

it is a very uplifting feeling just knowing there is someone out there reading what God put in my heart.

3.) if you had $1 million, what would you do with it?

Okay, let's see, a $1 million dollars. well, i would give some to a charity (of course), use some to upgrade the magazine,

give some to the church (okay, maybe a lot), and gosh ... i would do a lot of stuff with $1 million dollars. ;)

4.) pretend with me. once, you had pretty choo-choos on your underwear. now they have duckies. why?

i have absolutely no idea whatsoever. sorry. my imagination isn't working at the moment.

5.) name one thing that makes you laugh.

my brothers. they are probably the funniest (yes, funniest) things on this planet. no joke.

6.) what is your favorite book? movie? candy? meatball? no, I'm just kidding about the meatball :)

goodness girl! you have asked some really hard questions! anyway, favorite book? Night Song by Tricia Goyer.

Favorite Movie? Toy Story 3 (haha) Favorite Candy? Sour Patch Kids.

Interview with The wishful Lamb

Ya know, I kind of Love Interviews. 


So here is another one for ya:


This is with The Wishful Lamb 
We are swapping interviews...Like I did with Grace, remember?


Enough with this babbling...Let's start this partay!

{one} when did you start photography and what got you interested?

I have always loved taking photos and just being a overall creative person, but was never seriously interested in photography. However about a year or so ago I came across a blog Kellehampton.com,and I fell in love with her pictures.

After that I was hooked even before I got a "professional" camera I was learning everything and anything about photography. When I finally did get a DSLR I new right way how to shoot in manual ( the research) and have been improving my skills ever since. With in the next year I hope to start establishing my business. 

{two} what kind of camera do you use and when did you get it?

I got my Canon Rebel XS on June 27th 2010. I do plan on upgrading but for a entry level camera this is the one to get. It is affordable and takes amazing photos. You can also see all my photo equipment here 

{three} what do you like to photograph the most?

I am all about babies and kids. I love capturing the little details in their personalities. Although they can be some of the hardest subjects to photograph they are also the absolute most rewarding.

{four} why do you like photography?

I don't like photography..I love it! The greatest part about being a photographer is knowing you are capturing a moment that will last forever. I know this sounds corny, but it is the truth!

{five} do you have any photography tips, hints, or advise? 

I have a zillion things I can share but I think I will stick to just 3 ; )

It does not matter what kind of camera you have in fact some of my favorite photos are have been taken with a camera phone! Trust your instincts and capture what you love.

Practice, Practice, and more practice! I know this is what everyone say and there is a reason they say it! The more you photograph the quicker you will find you own personal style and niche. When you do find your style remember to always think outside the box. Try different angles and focal lengths. Some of my best pictures have come for experimentation. 

In post processing photos do not over edit. The best photos are the ones that are enhanced to bring out the natural beauty and not photo shopped.

Interview with Grace Drechsel

Here is an interview with grace drechsel {awesome last name :)} from grace loves the beatles

Note: Grace and I are actually friends in real life. She's totally awesome. And a great friend.
1.) What is your favorite thing to take a picture of?

Probably my lil bro, Charlie Pete. He has the bluest eyes. Melts my heart. ;) He's a pro at the camera, too.

2.) What got you into photography...and how long ago did you start?

 I have had a camera in my face since day one (thanks, Mom!) and when my mom got a dSLR, I got so inspired and wanted to take better pictures, like her. I got a (fancier) point and shoot and started taking some online courses and i loved photography. Then I got my dSLR and now i'm totally obsessed.

3.) What kind of camera do you have? When did you get it?

I have a Nikon d40x. (If you're wondering, it's pretty much an exact replica of the d60.) I love it. It's not hard to work, and it takes great pictures! I love my d40x!

4.) What is your favorite hobby to do other than photography/blogging {c'mon, you know you have ONE other :)}

I'm a book worm, i love reading. I love writing too, but haven't been writing much lately...

5.) Do you have any photography/blogging tips?

Hmm, photographing or blogging tips... there's SO many! just, don't force yourself. i haven't been in the most "photography-y" mood lately, so I'm just taking a break, a few deep breaths and I know I'll pick up my camera again (and catch up on my project 365's!) in a few days. I've done this with blogging, too. so yeah! It's not going to be fun if you don't enjoy it (if that made any sense...) :)
